Christopher John Dyke Acland was an English musician. He was the drummer of the English band Lush. Acland studied at North London Polytechnic, where he met his future Lush bandmates. He played in a number of bands before founding Lush in 1988 with Steve Rippon, Emma Anderson, Meriel Barham and Miki Berenyi.
Chris Acland was known to struggle with depression. On October 17, 1996, after Lush had completed a tour and music festival appearances, he died by suicide. He was thirty years old.
